In a dramatic turn of events, three teenagers have been detained in connection with a planned terrorist attack targeting Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna. Among the suspects is a 17-year-old who had recently begun working at the Ernst Happel Stadium, where the pop star was scheduled to perform. This teenager reportedly used his position to help orchestrate the attack.

Authorities believe the attackers were preparing to either drive a vehicle into the crowd outside the stadium or detonate a bomb. The 17-year-old suspect, who was arrested at the scene, was allegedly planning to execute the attack with the assistance of his accomplices.

Frankz Ruf, Vienna’s General Director for Public Security, described the plot as a “serious terror threat,” emphasizing that the suspects had engaged in “concrete preparatory actions.” Ruf disclosed that the most senior suspect had a specific focus on Taylor Swift’s Vienna performances.

A raid on the primary suspect’s residence revealed a cache of dangerous materials, including chemical substances, explosive devices, and bomb-making instructions. The suspect, who had recently sworn allegiance to ISIS, planned to use these items to cause maximum harm to the concertgoers.
